A few days ago when I was having dinner with my family, I overheard my parents talking about one of their old neighbors in Vietnam. Apparently this woman was around 70 something years old and she had two kids plus a husband. Several days ago, the woman went completely insane for reasons unknown. This change happened so suddenly that no one was prepared for it. She would not know the date, what to eat, or even how to eat. Even though she is old, I don’t believe that this is due to Alzheimer. So turning to my mother, I asked her, “why did she turned crazy?” Putting her bowl away, my mom told me that the woman’s husband had passed away a few days before the incident. After the passing, the woman had lost her determination and sanity for everything and anything. That night I laid in my bed thinking about what my mother had told me. I thought that maybe soul-mates really do exists. That in the world, somewhere out there, there really is that one person that is meant for you. That when one soul dies, the other slowly dies along with it because they cannot live without each other. And that there really is someone out there that you cannot live without, just as long as you find them.
